There are a number of key steps to follow in the estate administration process that apply regardless of the size of the estate to be dealt with. One of the first of these being to trace the Last Will and Testament if there is one, which names you as the executor. From here on in, there is a lot of paperwork to deal with by way of estate valuation, inheritance tax calculations and payment, applying for the Grant of Probate, asset collection, estate account preparation and final distribution to those benefitting from the estate.
