Pelvis, Hips

man with back painInjury to the pelvis or hips can be very serious and even result in leg amputation (in which case see "legs" for details). "Severe" injuries (£25,000- £83,500) involve damage to other organs and considerable disability. "Moderate" injury (£17,000 - £25,000) is when there is little permanent disability and little future risk.  Surprisingly,  "Injuries of Limited Severity" (£8,000 - £17,000) may result in a hip replacement  whereas "lesser injuries" (£2,500 - £8,000) are cases with no residual disability.

How much?

The total amount awarded to you as a result of a successful Personal Injury claim is based on many factors including the nature and severity of the injury and any consequential damages (e.g. loss of income).  The amount awarded in compensation for a specific injury (excluding any consequential damages) is based on a set of national guidelines.

Remember - the figures shown are only for the injury itself and exclude consequential damages. The total you receive may be considerably more.
