Injury to the pelvis or hips can be very serious and even result in leg amputation (in which case see "legs" for details). "Severe" injuries (£25,000- £83,500) involve damage to other organs and considerable disability. "Moderate" injury (£17,000 - £25,000) is when there is little permanent disability and little future risk. Surprisingly, "Injuries of Limited Severity" (£8,000 - £17,000) may result in a hip replacement whereas "lesser injuries" (£2,500 - £8,000) are cases with no residual disability.![]() |
