Senior Partner and Managing Partner

Senior Partner and Managing Partner at Henley-on-Thames. Founder of the firm in 1993, Mike originally qualified as a barrister in 1976, became a solicitor in 1991 and has worked in the area of personal injury and medical/clinical negligence claims since 1980. Member of APIL and on the Lawyers Panel of AvMA. Has 4 children and enjoys kit cars, skiing and microlight flying in any spare time.

Managing Partner

Managing Partner at Reading. Qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 but has been with the firm since 1994 practising in all areas of personal injury work. Specialist areas of work include medical/clinical negligence and asbestos related and other disease claims. Balkar is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). Married with 2 young children, his interests away from the law include playing 5-aside football, reading, and diy/gardening.

Partner and Head of Property

Qualified as a Solicitor in 1981 practising in all areas of non-contentious residential and commercial property matters including sales purchases leases and development. Nigel has been with Lawrence Hamblin since 1996. Interests outside the office include playing tennis all year round and is an MG enthusiast.

Associate Solicitor

Qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 with a background in legal expenses insurance work. Mike joined the firm in 2004, was made Associate in 2005 and currently practises in all areas of personal injury work. Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). Married , 1 Daschund. Interests away from the law include badminton, theatre.

Solicitor

Qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 and joined the firm in July 2007, Ingmar handles all types of personal injury claims.  He is fluent in German and in his 'downtime' he enjoys anything car-related, plays tennis and is a temporarily-lapsed skier.

Litigation Executive

A graduate of Exeter University, Simon joined the Firm in July 2007 having practised in the area of Personal Injury Litigation for 20 years. He has a particular specialism in road traffic, public and employers' liability claims. Married with 3 children, Simon is a season ticket holder with Reading FC. He enjoys football and rugby as a spectator, distance running as an occasional participant, and as much world travel as time allows.

Conveyancer

Joined the firm in November 2001 as Legal Secretary assisting with all aspects of conveyancing work. Having spent four and a half years in our Reading office, Allison is now based in Henley-on-Thames and deals in all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales/purchases and re-mortgages. Interests include reading, swimming, going to cinema.

Conveyancing Assistant

Sophia’s interests outside of work include swimming, reading, keep fit, cooking and eating out, and cinema. She enjoys working within the local community and is multi-lingual being fluent in Punjabi and Urdu with an ability to speak basic French and Arabic.

Conveyancing Executive

Sharon joined the firm in Feb 2008 to help set up and run the Conveyancing Department in High Wycombe. Sharon has 18 years experience in the residential conveyancing field covering sales, purchases, remortgages, transfer of equity and shared ownership properties. In her downtime Sharon enjoys socialising with friends and family, cinema, theatre, dancing, music, reading, working out at the gym and swimming.

Solicitor

Joined the firm March 2008 to help set up and run the Conveyancing Department in our new Beaconsfield office. Louise has over 5 years experience in dealing with Residential and Commercial Property and also Wills and Probate. Her outside interests include fitness (half marathon), gym, martial arts, reading, film (cinema), travelling and socialising with family and friends.
